Caroline Pugh of Virginia Tech is helping to change the way we shop for clothes online.

Caroline Pugh and two colleagues recently started the company VirtualU, which leads the way in the evolution of online commerce by digitalizing human bodies as well as consumer products while integrating them into an interactive online environment. As the chief operating officer, Caroline forms corporate relationships and networks with retail and technology executives around the world. She also works with her co-founders to formulate and execute business strategies in order to ensure growth and sustainability. They hosted a private Demo Day for university officials and investors this summer.

Former president of the Virginia Tech Entrepreneur Club, Caroline is also the president of the Washington D.C. region and director of partnerships for Kairos Society. The society unites the next generation of entrepreneurs with today’s leading innovators to create real solutions to the world’s biggest problems. There, she works to build and promote entrepreneurship, broaden the Kairos presence through events and initiatives, support Kairos fellows in their entrepreneurial endeavors, build long-lasting partner relationships with Fortune 500 companies and other entrepreneurial organizations, and line up mentors and partners for the annual Global Summit.

Caroline was recently featured in InTheCapital and Forbes for her efforts.
