Carl Shan from the University of California, Berkeley, describes how his school's chapter of the Kairos Society has inspired and impacted his national education venture.

Carl Shan is co-founder of CompassPoint Mentorship, a national venture to provide advice and mentoring for high school students. As a first-year student in college, he also co-founded an educational summer camp that engages youth in computer science, math and public speaking. He is able to afford his education through running this side business. Carl believes deeply in the power of education in uplifting the world and aspires to make a positive impact upon people's lives throughout the course of his own.

He studies Statistics, Philosophy and dabbles in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
