At the retreat we will use an “unconference” format, which is designed for active peer-to-peer collaboration. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch topics of their interest, engage in small-group discussions on the topics proposed, design new curricular and extracurricular activities, and develop alliances and networks.

Participants should prepare for the event by selecting topics or issues to propose for discussion and gathering supporting information and materials that might be of use. Topics to explore could include pedagogical approaches, programmatic models, extracurricular initiatives, and other topics that fall under the umbrella of infusing entrepreneurship and innovation into undergraduate engineering education.

We will send registered participants additional details.

What are attendees saying about the upcoming retreat?

“The Epicenter kickoff at the NCIIA conference gave me so much to think about, and that was just a taste of what I hope to see at the retreat in September. Fun people, a great location, being pushed outside of my comfort zone and leaving recharged. I wouldn’t miss it!” - Joseph Tranquillo, Bucknell University

“The combination of the location and the ‘unconference’ format will make the Epicenter Retreat the national-level conference to attend this fall if you’re an advocate for infusing entrepreneurial thinking into engineering education. I plan to learn new teaching approaches and activities to use in my courses and programs, and develop new (or re-new) friendships.” - Elizabeth Kisenwether, Penn State University
