Epicenter Research Summit 2014

The Epicenter research team presents findings from their first research question at the NCIIA Open Conference in March 2014.


The first Epicenter Research Summit will be held on August 4 and 5, 2014, at Stanford University. This meeting will convene top researchers in entrepreneurship, education, and engineering to present and discuss the latest work in the field. 

Epicenter, funded by the National Science Foundation and directed by Stanford University and the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA), empowers undergraduate engineering students to bring their ideas to life for the benefit of our economy and society.

As part of this work, the research team examines a number of topics, including models for educating engineers in entrepreneurial thinking, and entrepreneurship experiences among undergraduate engineers as compared with their peers in other disciplines.

At the summit, the format will be a mix of paper presentations, keynote addresses, and networking sessions. The goals are to:
- Strengthen the entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education research community
- Highlight and share the latest research findings from the community Identify new questions in entrepreneurship education research
- Create new connections and collaborations in this community
