2014 ASME IShow

The 2014 ASME IShow provides a platform for teams of creative, entrepreneurial students to compete for seed money to further develop their products. Team applications for will be accepted from Sept. 1 through Dec. 13, 2013.

Inspiring students to be product innovators and entrepreneurs, the ASME Innovation Showcase (IShow), sponsored by the ASME Foundation, provides a platform for top collegiate teams to compete for seed money to further develop their product. While demonstrating their technical creativity, winners must prove that they have a sustainable business model to a judging panel of successful innovators, industry experts, venture capitalists, and intellectual property specialists. 

The ASME Foundation is seeking teams of engineering students to participate in the 8th Annual IShow on Monday, April 28, 2014 at The Newseum in Washington, DC. This application process is open to all graduate and undergraduate student teams at colleges and universities worldwide, and team solicitation is open September 1, 2013 — December 13, 2013.

ASME's IShow provides the full experience of technology product commercialization, bridging the gap between engineering school practicum to business school theories. A panel of judges will select the most innovative and feasible ideas, with total award dollars of r $50K USD in seed funds as well as industry recognition. Cash awards will be distributed as follows:

$25,000 USD — first place team
$15,000 USD — second place team
$10,000 USD — third place team
