University Innovation Fellows

Epicenter is providing new opportunities for undergraduate engineering students across the country as part of the University Innovation Fellows program. Fellows catalyze innovation on their home campuses by holding events and creating networks that inspire and foster student entrepreneurship. In the 2012-13 academic year, the Fellows hosted 124 events and reached more than 9,000 faculty and students. Read more »

Pathways to Innovation program

The Pathways to Innovation program is designed to help institutions transform the experience of their undergraduate engineering students – ensuring that students graduate with the technical skills, tools and attitudes they need to move from ideas to practical solutions that solve real world problems. The program, created and run by Epicenter, helps faculty incorporate entrepreneurship and innovation into a range of courses as well as strengthen co- and extra-curricular offerings. Read more »

Research

The Epicenter research team is examining models for educating engineers in entrepreneurial thinking; undergraduate engineering students’ entrepreneurial interests, abilities and achievements; and the integration of entrepreneurship activities into "traditional" engineering courses. Conferences, Workshops & Online Resources

In collaboration with our partners, Epicenter provides faculty and students with new tools, approaches and methodologies for delivering innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives in engineering. NCIIA's annual OPEN Conference brings together professionals in the field of technology entrepreneurship education. The Lean LaunchPad Educators Program aims at introducing best practices in innovation and entrepreneurship education into existing engineering courses. Massive Open Online Classes (MOOCs) and Just in Time Online Learning Tools (JOLTs) make entrepreneurship and innovation resources accessible to students and faculty nationwide.
